Something to Think About on Valentine’s Day…
Love & Design
Your relationships may affect your renovations, and renovations may affect your relationships. The way one approaches a remodel or new project may be determined by multiple eager personalities. And your renovations will be influenced by the future you envision with your significant others.
Perhaps your home or area within is dated, which will demand much attention, possible construction, and certainly some professional help.
The project may be a new build with special requirements for a growing family. These changes typically involve bedrooms, storage, and entertainment areas.
This type of project, when underway, demands multiple types of professional groups: Surveyors, Architects, Designers, General Contractors, and more. A solid plan of action and determination to create the right formula and patience will determine the most desirable outcome.
University Park - Breakfast Nook
Having been a part of many renovation projects, I have to say, I love this type for its unique and challenging merits. To get to plan a home with the client’s wants and wishes going into each detail is a thrill and almost always leads to longtime relationships. What a joy for a designer. We are grateful for these types of projects, more than anyone knows.
Ritz Tower - Living Room
The renovations and remodels which take a bit of construction for the purpose of updating and streamlining an existing dwelling have their own separate types of delights. Adding Venetian plaster to an otherwise boring wall may brighten and modernize. Then comes the new fixtures and sometimes hardware. All serve to create a profound and comfortable abode that our clients love to live in. It’s their time-honored home, except better. Then comes the new furniture lighting and other furnishings. I think this is my favorite type of project because the client’s imprint of the personality and increased purpose create a completely new dwelling that may be enjoyed for years upon years to come.

With Love & Thanks
So, on this Valentine’s Day, I write a love letter to design and all the joy that it brings to our clients and their designers, but also to Allan, myself, and our staff. Thank you for letting us do what we do best and for bringing us into your sacred spaces. With a brave new outlook and a willingness to achieve a more useful and pleasing space for you and your family, amazing things are not only possible but very much assured.
