Carmen Menza
Carmen Menza is a media artist whose interdisciplinary practice spans sculpture, light-based work, video, animation and music. She creates work on reflective surfaces utilizing acrylics, dichroic glass, custom software and LEDs. In her new media work, Menza designs interactive and generative works that encourage artistic collaboration between herself and community. Utilizing code, animation, sound design and music composition, she activates and sculpts immersive environments. Her software-based light work is part of the permanent collection at the McKinney Avenue Contemporary Museum in Dallas. She has exhibited with the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Soluna Festival, Dallas Aurora Light & Sound Biennial and Carneal Simmons Contemporary Art, Dallas, TX.
